Swelling and changes of color in the legs
This is often the first giveaway sign of pancreatic cancer, and it is caused by a blood clot blocking the normal blood flow of a given vein in the lower extremities. There’s excessive blood clot formation, and they cause a dangerous problem called deep vein thrombosis. Sometimes, instead of the legs, the blood clot would get stuck in the lungs, causing a pulmonary embolism, a life-threatening condition that causes severe chest pain, breathing difficulty, and some patients would even cough up blood.
