Warm articulations
During flare-ups, it is common to feel the affected articulation with temperature changes. It will likely feel a bit warm to the touch, but this symptom is not commonly reported because patients avoid touching the articulation due to the excessive tenderness. The articulation would go back to normal after the gout attack subsides because this symptom is due to the inflammatory process that accompanies this type of arthritis.
