Fever
Fever is a common event when there’s an infection or systemic inflammation. Not every patient with pancreatitis develops fever, but more than half of them do. When people with pancreatitis experience fever, their disease is usually more aggressive, and the mortality rate is higher. It usually appears when there are further complications, as in the case of acute necrotizing pancreatitis, which becomes infected and may cause many other infections in several organs and tissues.
