Leg swelling
As we have mentioned, the progression of the tumor causes compression in the pelvic and abdominal cavity, and this compression might start affecting other organs. When the tumor compresses the lymphatic vessels and the veins, the normal return to the heart is altered, the liquid starts to accumulate in the tissues, and the legs start to swell up. Swelling can occur in different parts of the body, but it is more common in the legs as a result of circulatory alterations located in or around pelvic areas. Sometimes, nerves would also become affected by the tumor growth, and it causes pain, tingling, and awkward sensations all over the affected limb.
