Anorexia
Deeply linked with early satiety, people with colon cancer and most types of cancer experience anorexia, which is low levels of appetite. This is a part of a very complex wasting syndrome called cachexia, which contributes to worsening the condition of the patient as the disease progresses. Thus, it is essential to stimulate appetite in these patients with palatable and nutritious foods to counter the effects of anorexia. Anorexia often leads to undernourishment, nutrient deficiencies, and other complications, especially in the elderly.
