Symptoms of metastasis to other organs
Metastasis to the liver causes hepatomegaly, jaundice, and pruritis. Metastasis to the lungs can cause respiratory difficulties such as dyspnea, cough, stridor, and respiratory failure. If the brain is involved, it can cause localized symptoms such as paresis, loss of sensory function, weakness, numbness, progressive loss of function of parts of body, seizures, cranial nerve palsies, and headache according to the location of the lesion in the brain. Metastasis to the bones can cause bone pain and pathological fractures.
