Dysphagia
It is the clinical name of a perceived difficulty to swallow solid materials. It is produced when the tumor grows bigger, usually when the tumor is more than 5cm. In these cases, the mass causes difficulty to swallow solids, and when the lumen of esophagus becomes narrower than 13mm, it results in dysphagia for liquids, too.
Initially, it starts as painless dysphagia which progresses to painful dysphagia. Dysphagia generally depends on the degree of obstruction in the esophagus. It is the most common symptom of esophageal carcinoma.
