2 Sudden or excessive fatigue
Shorter days in the winter season and reduced sunlight exposure can make you feel tired. There is a distinction between being tired and feeling extreme exhaustion. Sudden, severe fatigue in the body is one of the first symptoms of the flu. It usually appears before other symptoms occur. Fatigue is also one of the common symptoms of common cold, although it is typically more extreme with the flu.
Extreme weakness and exhaustion can interfere with your daily activities. You must restrict your normal activities and allow your body to rest. Take a couple of days off from work or school and stay in bed. Adequate rest will improve your immune system and help you fight against the virus.
