Severe immune problems
They are especially seen in small cell lymphoma/chronic lymphocytic leukemia. There is a decrease in the production of antibodies against foreign antigens. This leads to an increased risk of infections in such patients. Moreover, patients can develop an autoimmune hemolytic anemia, where antibodies are formed against normal red blood cells due to the dysregulated and mutated B cells.
