Non-specific symptoms of neoplasia
The non-specific symptoms of neoplasia are those we see in most cases of cancer, regardless of its location. They are more common in Hodgkin lymphoma. These symptoms include fever, fatigue, unexplained weight loss, anorexia, pruritus, and night sweats. They are due to the dysregulation of hypothalamus due to excessive cytokines released by lymphoma tissue, and also due to the pancytopenia and reactive inflammatory cells in Hodgkin lymphoma.
