Color of lesion
Papilloma is usually white. Melanoma are hyperpigmented, but some hypopigmented melanomas have also been observed. Leukoplakia occurs as a white lesion while erythroplakia occurs as a reddish lesion. The ulcerated form of the carcinoma of the tongue is covered with a yellow-gray colored transparent substance. Kaposi sarcoma is reddish purple.
