Like other diseases, the men having African American ethnicity suffer more from prostate cancer. Moreover, one of every six African American males is more likely to get prostate cancer. The development of prostate cancer in African American males usually starts at a younger age. The reports also show that African Americans suffer from the most aggressive types of tumors that might grow more rapidly. The chances of these tumors in the African American men are more to spread in the body and cause the death of the patient. The exact phenomena are not evident why the men from this specific ethnicity develop prostate cancer, but it might be due to the environmental, diet, or socioeconomic factors. Other ethnicities like Native Americans, Asians, and Hispanic men are less likely to get prostate cancer.
