Chest pain
Chest pain is one of the most concerning symptoms associated with hypertension. Be especially aware when chest pain feels oppressive, located in the middle of the chest, radiating to the neck, jaw, left shoulder or left arm. When high blood pressure coexists with this type of pain, additional testing should be made to rule out a heart attack. However, a similar type of chest pain may arise from acid reflux, intercostal neuralgia, and many other health conditions. Even skilled clinicians should perform additional studies before diagnosing a heart attack, so you need to look for urgent medical attention and do not delay your diagnosis.
