(C) Pericardial Mesothelioma Symptoms
Pericardial mesothelioma is found in the pericardium (the lining of the heart). Symptoms usually occur in the chest cavity. Compared to other types of mesotheliomas, symptoms of the pericardial mesothelioma typically develop rapidly due to its violent nature. The most common symptoms of pericardial mesothelioma include;
- Chest pain
- Heart murmur
- Heart palpitations
- Pericardial effusion
- Fever and night sweats
- Irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia)
Pericardial mesothelioma is also misdiagnosed (most of the time) as heart-related cancers, coronary artery disease, or heart failure.
