There’s a benign tumor called prolactinoma which causes excessive secretion of the hormone prolactin, which stimulates the production and release of breast milk. It is a tumor growth in the pituitary gland, which is located in the sella turcica. Therefore, as we have mentioned above, a prolactinoma is usually accompanied with changes in the visual field and partial loss of vision.
