Unilateral or bilateral compromise
The patient usually presents with unilateral swelling of one testicle. The affected testicle is larger than the normal testis, and this is usually the first sign noticed by the patient. The surrounding tissues should also be checked thoroughly because bilateral testicular tumors may be present in 1 to 3% of cases.
