Bone pain
Another symptom of late-stage cervical cancer is bone pain. However, bone pain does not arrive from cervical cancer itself but cervical cancer metastasis. Metastatic cancers are those aberrant tumors that lose all of the cellular properties that characterize normal cells. One of these properties is a particular set of proteins in the cell wall that serve to anchor cells to the tissues. By losing these structures, cells become loose and are easy to sweep off into the bloodstream, reach other organs and start to grow there. One of the most common metastases in cervical cancer is bone metastasis, which causes bone pain, joint pain, and susceptibility to fractures.
