Vaginal hemorrhages
It might be difficult to tell the difference between vaginal hemorrhages and irregular or heavy menstruation. Sometimes patients think they are having menstruation periods when they are not. Vaginal bleedings are frequent in patients with cervical cancer because the tumor grows new blood vessels to get extra blood and extra nutrients. These newly formed blood vessels are abnormal and may be very fragile and prone to bleeding. Thus, if you’re experiencing sudden vaginal hemorrhages that are not related to your period, it is essential to ask your doctor and get an urgent physical exam to assess the problem and provide an early solution to it.
