Reduce intake of alcohol
Even if you’re healthy, alcohol can increase blood pressure. Drinking in moderation is important. For each 10 gram of alcohol consumed, alcohol can increase your blood pressure by 1 mm Hg. A standard beverage constitutes of a 12-ounce beer, 5 oz of wine, or 1.5 oz of spirits. Moderate beverages are for women to drink up one a day and for men to drink up two a day.
